I felt like I was in a horror movie. But not a really good one. Like a cheap one that was made by some idiotic person. Like Tommy Wiseau. Even though he never even made a horror movie I guess.....

But getting back on track. My mind wanders when I'm scared to wit's end.

Andrea was trying to go as fast as possible while weaving her way through the other cars on the deserted road. Her hands gripped the steering wheel with white knuckles. Ryan was gripping the seats for his life. I was laughing.

In other words, the usual.

I still could feel myself slipping deeper into insanity, but it wasn't like I really cared right now. I just needed to live. Instinct, that was it.

The van's tires screeched as we were forced to turn a sharp corner. The zombie horde followed closely, gurgling all the way. A thought occurred to me.

"We aren't going to be safe in here." I said.

"What are you talking about?!" yelled Ryan. Then his eyes widened in realization. "Your right....." he said in a more of a hushed voice.

Andrea was frantic. "Then WTH ARE we going to do?! I can't really just stop and sprint, they'll catch us in an instant!!"

I didn't have any ideas. But-- maybe--- perhaps---

"We could fly out of here!" I screamed.

My friends looked at me weirdly. "Just hear me out--" I began. "We could jack a helicopter and fly above all of these brutes!!"

Ryan rubbed his chin in consideration. "That might just work...." he said. "Andrea! Let's go to the nearest Airport!!"

"Yessir." Andrea replied.

The van powered down the highway, the noise attracting more zombies. A rock crashed through the back window shattering it. Ryan covered his head and yelled in surprise. The sound of rushing wind almost burst my eardrums. Andrea held the steering wheel in control, more or less, and two or three zombies made a leap and caught on to the back bumper. They gurgled with delight.

Before anyone could do anything, I grabbed my axe, undid my seatbelt and carefully picked my way through the seats and broken glass to the back. I stuck my head out to see the zombies.

THE MOST HORRIBLE MISTAKE EVER.

My shoulders were immediately grabbed, and I was pulled forwards and partially out of the vehicle. My legs scraped against the broken frames of glass and I screamed as to signal I was in danger. I blindly slashed, and heard a gurgle and one of the hands on my shoulders loosened it's grip and I heard a THUMP in the background. However, that must have made the other two even more angry.

I took a small chance in the pause of shock to squirm my way back up into the car a bit, placing my hips back into the car.

Another HORRIBLE mistake.

One zombie pulled violently on my shoulders while Ryan must have grabbed my ankles. The sharp glass on the frame of the window pierced my chest, and I screamed again in agony. The zombie that was holding my shoulders roared in excitement of seeing blood. I coughed, then swung again at it, and it was caught off guard, falling off and rolling a couple times behind the moving vehicle.

I was about to finish off the other one when I noticed that it was making it's way INTO the car.

"HEY!!" I yelled at it.

It turned for a second, seemed to sheepishly grin at me, and made it's way in.

Ryan's hands immediately let go of my ankles, and I could tell that there was quite the tussle going on behind me.

I tried to use the rest of my upper body strength to push myself back in. I ended up cutting my hands as well. But now I didn't even care anymore. I just had to save myself and my friends. I turned back into the van, and found quite the mess.

Andrea was crying, yet still driving, and Ryan was pinned down by the zombie, who was currently trying to munch on his left arm.

I gripped my axe. Then swung at the creature. It struck the head, and the zombie gurgled before dropping my comrades' arm and falling backwards onto the floor. I dislodged the axe, picked the zombie up, threw it out of the car, and sighed heavily.

"Omygodomygodomygodomygodomygod...." whispered Andrea.

I leaned over Ryan, and placed a hand over my chest wound to keep the blood in. Not like it would work much.

He was scratched up pretty bad, and had red stains all over his shirt and legs. But that wasn't the worst of it. THAT was the teeth marks on his left arm. A zombie bite is always fatal. The venom will turn you into a zombie in at least fifteen minutes to half an hour. Give or take.

Tears welled up in my eyes. I would have to kill my best friend. Andrea turned around from her seat. "What the HECK just happened?!" she exclaimed.

"He's been bitten." I said.

Silence hung in the air for a couple seconds afterwards.

Ryan's eyes drifted open and closed, and he groaned. "Please don't tell me...." he said. I nodded.

He groaned again. This time with more sorrow. "Sorry." he said.
Sorry it's been so long~~ lol. :P
